BOOK
Yes: Children, Albert Einstein, and Niels Bohr
Midway through the 20th century, Einstein wrote, “The world we have made as a result of the level of thinking we have done so far, creates problems we cannot solve at the same level of thinking at which we have created them.” The rub is that we cannot go from one kind of thinking to another, it is not a linear process.
Yes is a weave of stories about people best characterized by Yes. Whatever their age, discipline or circumstances, their words and actions express generosity, curiosity, and a deep caring for our children and their future.

“Len Barron has turned ninety and he, like all of us, was once a child. Unfortunately, most of us have forgotten the magic of our childhood. Not so for Len. Through a lifetime of story, song & dance, and his work on Albert Einstein and Niels Bohr he is in touch with a child’s sense of wonder. Yes is a short book. I suggest you read it slowly."

"This book is a welcome culmination of Len Barron’s life work and his key points: Fairness, Beauty, and Playfulness. Although it certainly speaks to the times in which we currently find ourselves, the message has rung as clear as a bell for the past 30-plus years."

"You can read this book at almost any point and get a good dose of cheer, vitamin L, life lessons, and footnotes to 20th century physics. Give a copy to a teacher or preacher or seeker or your favorite scientist. It’s good for what ails you."

ABOUT LEN BARRON
Educator, playwright and director, Len Barron grew up in Chelsea, Massachusetts, an industrial suburb of Boston. Combining a BA from the University of Colorado and an MA from Antioch-Putney with the unique insights from his daily walks, he began teaching sociology at the University of Colorado, San Diego State University, and Prescott College in Arizona. It was there he created Good Morning, his first theatre piece.
Len was drawn to Einstein, not for his genius, but rather for his personal values and qualities that always began with “being fair”—the root of human wisdom. In 1989, Len wrote Walking Lightly...a Portrait of Einstein, which he has performed numerous times across America and Canada. Subsequently, in 2009 he wrote Albert Einstein and Niels Bohr...a Fairy Tale. In concert with his affection for Einstein and Bohr, Len’s passion in life is observing and writing about the wonder of children.
